Autonomous Economic Agent Framework
This paper introduces a novel framework for Autonomous Economic Agents (AEAs), aiming to foster a decentralized digital economy. The authors identify the limitations of the current centralized web and propose their framework as a solution, leveraging distributed ledger technologies (DLT). The framework enables the creation of multi-stakeholder multi-agent systems (MAS) where each entity is an autonomous economic agent capable of transacting and making commitments. The paper details the framework's architecture, core components, and extensibility, highlighting its unique integration with DLT and its potential for real-world applications, including trading, supply chains, and data marketplaces. Benchmarks demonstrate the framework's performance, and comparisons are drawn with existing agent architectures, emphasizing the AEA framework's distinct features and focus on practical deployment.
